Verifying & authenticating domains (free lesson!)

Verifying and authenticating your email address and email domain is very beneficial to the deliverability of your list.

Additional Notes

  • This shows your sender/reply to email as just your email.
  • This helps keep your email out of spam.
  • This shows images by default in Gmail.
  • Confirm and the Final Welcome Email always shows your email address as  “you@yourdomain.com via xxx.msvd.net” – even with an authenticated domain.

Actions

  • Use your domain in your email address, i.e. me@monkeybiz.com instead of monkeybiz1522@gmail.com.
  • Verify and authenticate your domain.
  • If you have to add multiple SPF records (ex: for Google and MailChimp) use the format laid out here.
